WHO are we?

Turning Point is a foundation.
This is our goal: to introduce more people to sailing.
We raise money for this purpose.
We want to use the money to make inclusion possible in sailing clubs.
We would be delighted if sailing became your hobby.

WHAT do we do

Sailing is fun.
But sailing should be a sport for everyone.
Everyone should be able to try sailing.
Regardless of whether someone has a disability.
Or whether someone has little money.

Sailing gives courage and self-confidence.
People discover their own strengths.
People discover what they are capable of.
Sailing can be a turning point in life.

We help sailing clubs with inclusion programmes.
Sailing clubs should offer good programmes for everyone.
Appropriate, understandable, accessible.

HOW do we do this?

We have various turning point programmes.
That's what we call our support options.
They are always puns on the word ‘turning point’.
A turning point is a change of direction in sailing.

We support sailing clubs and other groups.
And not just once, but over a long period of time.
We help with money and personnel.
We also provide advice.

Our team consists of around 20 experts.
They work throughout Germany.
They will also come to your sailing club.
There, we will work together to plan inclusion in sailing.

Our turning points are called:

· Wende·start

· Wende·kurs

· Wende·training

· Wende·förderung

· Wende·akademie

At the Wende·start, we help with the first events.

A Wende·kurs is a sailing event lasting four days.
This also includes a workshop day for the club.
We demonstrate a lot of practical knowledge.
Up to 50 people can take part.
They learn about sailing.

In Wende·training, we practise the knowledge again.
We help the club with its development on site.

Sometimes a sailing club needs financial assistance above all else.
Then we help with Wende·förderung.

We are happy to pass on our knowledge.
Sometimes we invite experts. They then talk about a specific topic.
We call this the Wende·akademie.
The clubs also meet there.
